The Best Skincare Products for Sensitive Skin and Rosacea
If you have been following me for a while, you know my struggles with super sensitive skin and rosacea. It is a constant battle and I have tried everything under the sun. Today, I want to share a roundup of the best skin care products for sensitive skin and rosacea that I have found. The truth is, nothing cures rosacea, but it can be managed. There are good skin days and bad ones and the only thing that will really help in making rosacea disappear are laser treatments. However, even that isn’t a permanent solution and needs to be maintained. My goal is more good skin days than bad ones. These products have really helped me achieve that goal, or at least, not irritated my skin any further. This roundup includes a bit of everything, from cleansers to masks, to serums, and even a couple of gadgets. They run the gamut from cheap drugstore items to a few pricier products. Skincare is something I am willing to invest in, as long as it is worth the money and, in my opinion, all of these are.
The Best Skincare Products for Sensitive Skin and Rosacea
City Beauty Sheet Mask Mask | This is the best sheet mask I have ever used and it is great for prepping for an event. it is ultra hydrating, super line smoothing and calms my redness. After using this mask, my skin is smooth calm and ready for makeup. It is pricey, so I save it for special occasions.
Peach & Lily Serum| An amazing recovery serum, this stuff keeps my skin calm, smooth and hydrated and gives it that “glass” like appearance. It has done wonders for my skin and I wouldn’t be without it again. I use a generous amount both in the morning and at night. I can’t recommend it enough.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil | This oil has been a staple in my arsenal for years. It is lightweight, yet so hydrating and is a very clean product. It doesn’t contain anything that can irritate or aggravate my skin. I mix a few drops into my moisturizer, or just press it into my skin for a little hydrating pick me up.
Cerave Moisturizing Cream | This skin soothing moisturizer has been a life saver for me. I use it in the morning and at night. It contains ceramides and my favorite ingredient, hyaluronic acid, to plump skin. It helps repair the skins protective barrier and is gentle and non irritating. I can feel it working all day and night. Plus, the price is right.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Cream| This creams has been a game changer for me. It lets me leave the house feeling confident without having to put on makeup. A small amount of this covers and “erases” my redness without looking makeup_y.
Eucerin Q10 Anti Wrinkle cream | One of the best kept beauty secrets out there. This cream is amazing and a powerful anti ager, yet so gentle. It is also a great dupe for the pricey La Mer cream that will set you back $300.00 a jar. This can be a bit hard to come by, but I order mine on Amazon, where they have the best price as well. (Dirt cheap at $9.00 a jar) Check out my other dupes here.
Skyn Iceland Arctic Hydration Mask | Total game changer! It is a bit messy, so I don’t do it nearly as much as I want to, but the results are so worth it. You have to pretty much lay flat for it to dry or it will slide right of your face. It feels cool while you are wearing it and comes off easily, leaving your skin so hydrated, soothed and as plump as a baby’s butt.
Glow Pro Derma Roller | I had this in my drawer for weeks, because I was afraid to use it. I thought it would irritate my skin. It looks scary and you are basically poking tiny holes in your skin. When my derm told me that derma rolling was also helpful in improving rosacea, I started using it and have never looked back. It feels sort of like a mild sunburn while using it, but the microscopic holes you are poking into your skin, forces your skin to produce collagen to repair the damage, resulting in a more youthful appearance. It totally works, but persistence and patience are key. The longer you use it, the better the results.
Garnier Micellar Water | I love this super gentle cleaning water to take my makeup off and refresh my skin in the morning. It is so gentle, but so effective.
Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask | One of my favorite recent discoveries, I incorporated this into my night time routine and I have been loving it. I am definitely seeing a reduction in redness. when I wake up in the morning. It is rich, so I just slap it on my red patches right before going to sleep. I liked the regular sleeping mask, but see a definite reduction in redness with this one. Also, the price is right
Revitalift Cica Cream| Another new favorite and obsession. A fantastic cream for aging, sensitive skin. Dermatologist tested, this Cica cream was developed to repair the skin barrier and is also fragrance free, paraben free, colorant free, dye free, skin stripping alcohol free, and allergy tested. It also has a cool story behind it – inspired by ancient Chinese medicine, legend has it that tigers used to roll in Centella Asiatica to help recover from battles and this cream contains this ingredients to help heal your skin’s barrier.
M-61 Power Glow Peel | I had heard so many great things about these peel pads, but though they weren’t for me and would irritate my skin. Boy, was I wrong. These don’t sting or burn my skin at all and I initially didn’t think they were working, until I was my skin a couple of days later. Glowing and healthy. I love the results I get from this peel. I use it once a week or as needed. They are game changers, I tell you.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser| A gentle cleanser that is super soothing and completely free of irritants at a great price. It has been a staple of mine for years and I always go back to it.
These are all of the best skincare products for sensitive skin and rosacea, products I have tried that work well for me. With the skincare Industry ever-changing and evolving, there are always new products coming out and my hope is that here will be something at some point that will cure my rosacea completely. Until then, these will be on standby in my house.
I hope you found this helpful. Have you tried any products for sensitive skin and rosacea that worked? I would love to know.
XO,
Thank you for the rundown on the skin products, I’ll have to check some of your recommendations out. I’ve used and love dermalogica for over 15 years so I can attest to that one. I’m really interested in trying the Derma Roller. I have a little Melasma left on my face from years of being on birth control and have tried so many products to get rid of it, I’ve hear that the roller can help.
Hi Samantha, I love my roller. The longer you use it, the better the results. Keep me posted and thanks for reading my post. xo ❤️
This is so helpful! Thank you
You are so welcome. I am glad I could help! xo
I’ve had rosacea for 15 years now and the only thing that actually “normalised” my skin (rosacea completely not visible now, no bumps, no redness, no burning sensation) is Pratima Rosacea Oil + switching my pillow covers from cotton to organic bamboo.
I will try have to try that out.
How do u help roshea bumps.
There is no easy answer here. I recommend seeing a dermatologist to start.
