I am not usually a lipstick person and just slick on a sheer gloss, but there’s something about Fall that has made me branch out and try a few lipsticks, including some bolder colors and I have been loving them. Apparently you have as well, because I have been getting lots of questions about my lipstick colors lately, so I thought I would share my current top 5 with you today. I have included a bit of everything from a sheer nude, to a bold watermelon read that is perfect for the holidays. I also included my favorite lipsticks to wear in photos that are still neural, but have a little more pop than a nude colored lipstick. MY FIVE FAVORITE LIPSTICKS FOR FALL
URBAN DECAY VICE LIPSTICK IN “MORNING AFTER”
I have been loving this nude sheer lip color from Urban decay, called “Morning After”. It is the perfect lipstick for every day and a great lip color to counterbalance the smokey eye, which is always a hit during the holiday season.
BOBBI BROWN CRUSHED LIPSTICK IN BABY
This is a great neutral with a little more pop and is a great choice for photos. I love how comfortable this is on the lips and the pigments are so rich. It has been in my regular rotation.
MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY CRAYON IN “STAY EXCEPTIONAL”
I have been loving all of the shades of the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayons, but this one is the best everyday shade and also another great option for photos. These pencils feel like nothing at all on the lips and they last a good long while, which makes them the perfect choice for photos or parties, since you don’t have to worry about your lipstick going anywhere. It also comes with its own sharpener built into the back of the pencil.
NARS LIP PENCIL IN “SEX MACHINE”
A pinky mauve shade that goes just above your natural lip color to give your lips a little oomph. I re-discovered this color recently after seeing it on someone else and I realized I already owned it. I have been wearing it nonstop ever since. It is sooo good!!!
LAURA MERCIER CRAYON IN “CLIQUE”
This is a perfect watermelon red and great for the holidays. It is bold, but still very wearable and it feels good on the lips. I share my best tips for wearing a bold lip color in this video.
