If you have been here a while, you know that I am pretty unfussy when it comes to getting dressed. Comfort is key, but looking presentable is a very close second. I love dresses for that reason, especially in the summer time. You throw on a cute dress, some shoes and a couple of accessories and you are done. This dress is no exception. It is has beautiful detailing that gives it that little something extra and makes it the perfect summer brunch outfit.
The Perfect Summer Brunch Outfit
The cool linen fabric and looser fit make it the perfect dressier option for hot summer days. The longer length makes it appropriate for women my age and also makes it a good work wear option. In fact, quite a few people commented on that when I posted this outfit on Instagram.
The detailing on this dress is pure perfection and I love the pink & red color combination, but it also comes in 4 other color combos that are equally as pretty. Personally I also love the striped one.
The sunglasses are a statement all on their own and they are my new favorites. I honestly wasn’t sure if I would love them when I ordered them, but I am obsessed. They are my new favorites. I get so many compliments on them and they are the perfect accessory for when you are not wearing any makeup, which has been a theme over here lately. The pearl color is the perfect neutral shade and makes them very versatile. They also come in a bunch of colors. I have not taken them off since I got them.
The shoes are cool and comfy and the perfect addition to any summer outfit. They are casual enough to wear with shorts and a tee and dressy enough to complete this outfit. I have narrow feet and the raffia hugs them comfortably and keeps them on my feet, without feeling too tight or rubbing my toes. I can imagine these being fabulous for wider feet, as the criss cross design and stretchy raffia material is very forgiving.
