MY FAVORITE AFFORDABLE SUMMER BEAUTY PRODUCTS

When it comes to summer beauty, I love saving a buck, don’t you? During the summer months, we are always on the go and I rely on my favorite affordable summer beauty products to keep me looking fresh and put together. I stopped into Walmart recently, during one of my son’s rehearsals, and stocked up on my summer beauty staples. They have a great selection and it was so convenient. I carry these with me in my purse, pool bag and on vacation. If we loose them, no biggie. These are some of my all-time favorite beauty products period, NOT just budget friendly. I share a bit of everything from hair, to body to makeup to keep you looking pretty all summer long.

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST LIPGLOSS | These are my current obsession and I have talked about them endlessly. They are seriously the most hydrating lipglosses I have ever used. They contain hyaluronic acid and actually treat your lips to keep them soft and supple. It is a key great ingredient for mature, aging skin. My favorite colors are Pink Sorbet, Flushed Coral and Soft Blush.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA BUTTER BRONZER | This has quickly become my favorite everyday bronzer and it smells just like summer. It gives me a warm, just back from vacation glow, and is not too orange. You can’t really tell I am wearing it, I just look healthy. To me, that is the telltale sign of a good bronzer, when you can’t actually see it on.

MILANI BAKED BLUSH | This blush is perfection and one of the best blushes on the market, period. It gives you just a slight hint of glowing color that looks good on everyone. The baked texture of this fabulous as well and so user friendly. You can’t really mess it up. My favorite shades is DulcePink.

L’OREAL LUMI GLOWTION | This is one of the prettiest highlighters and I love its versatility. It is not glittery or sparkly and simply leaves a lovely glow. It can be applied to your cheekbones, or down the bridge of your nose. But I also love it mixed in with moisturizer, or foundation, for an all over glow. It is fabulous mixed with body lotion to give your body and all over glow and to camouflage those lumps and bumps.

L’OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA | I have talked about this mascara endlessly on my blog and Instagram. It is just a fabulous mascara at a fabulous price. It is rich & glossy looking and amplifies my puny lashes 1000 times over. I am not really big on eye shadow during the hot summer months and rely on this to really make my eyes look bigger. I love the blackest black color.

ELF MATTIFYING SPRAY | Although I have dry skin, I love this spray in the summer. A few quick spritzes take me from sweaty greaseball to looking fresh as a daisy. It is great for setting your makeup and refreshing it during the day. Infused with mattifying Kaolin Clay, this mist lets you blot away oil in an effortless, touchless way. Shine be gone! Just make sure to shake it well before using.

JERGENS INSTANT SUN TANNING MOUSSE | When I need to have some color fast, this is my go-to self tanner. It dries down quickly and gives me a nice even, streak free color right away and then develops over the next few hours for a tan that lasts a few days. This stuff dries super fast, so make sure to use a mitt to get an even application and avoid the dreaded Oompa Loompa hands. I am fair and this gives me natural looking color.

COPPERTONE GLOW SPF 50 | Anything that will make me look better in a bathing suit, I am here for. This stuff is fabulous. It protects your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, with an SPF 50, and makes you look like a glowing goddess at the same time. This stuff is especially fabulous after applying a good self tanner the day before. It really ups your glowing goddess factor and will have you rocking your bathing suit.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO | On the days we are headed to explore a museum or headed downtown, , I reach for this budget friendly dry shampoo. It works great to keep grease at bay and makes my hair look and feel clean and fresh. The tropical scent of this is a total bonus. It smells just like vacation. I love anything tropical smelling during the hot summer months to whisk me away, to an exotic location, even if it is only in spirit.

L’OREAL EVERPURE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER | This is my favorite summer time shampoo and conditioner combo. I wash my hair a lot more often this time of year and really need something gentle for my color treated hair. This fits the bill. It is sulfate free, smells divine and my whole family loves it. Plus, it is a steal of a deal and the perfect size for toting around in our pool bag. If it gets left behind, which can happen with 2 teenagers, it is not the end of the world.
