The warmer temps are finally here, but there are still times when you need an extra layer for chilly nights. A few examples around here include the beach, the backyard, or an evening boat ride (my personal favorite). This is the perfect summer sweater to throw on during those times. It is so soft, adds the perfect layer of warmth and is a much more stylish option than a sweatshirt. I also love taking this with me when running errands as I always get freezing cold in grocery stores and places that insist on blasting the AC during the summer. (Why do they do that??)
THE PERFECT SUMMER SWEATER
Normally, I would have chosen the navy and white striped option in this sweater, and I still love that combo, but I have been on a tan and neutral kick lately and just love this tan stripe. It is perfect with my current favorite white jeans and my gold Birkenstock dupes I was raving about the other day on Instagram.
I am obsessed with them. They were truly the most comfortable sandals from the second I put them on, and they go with everything. They are the perfect summer walking sandal. You can walk miles in them and they are perfect for any and all family summer outings, whether you are sightseeing, visiting the zoo, or headed to the beach. I ordered 2 more pairs so I am never without them.
My kids have exactly one week left of school, with no school on Monday for my high schooler and 2 half days on Thursday and Friday. I am ready….we have a beach trip planned at the end of August to Rosemary Beach, but plan on sticking closet to home for the rest of the summer. My older son will be taking driver’s ed 😳, and my younger son is doing a few soccer camps. We will supplement that with some trips into D.C. to explore the Zoo and a few Museums. This outfit is perfect for all of our upcoming adventures.
What are you guys up to this summer? Any trips? Any of you coming this way? D.C. is a great family destination. All of the museums are free and there are lots of beaches and small resort towns, such as Annapolis and close by.
