Summer is here! With it, comes a more laid back and casual vibe that I love. This translates into everything I do during the hot summer months, including my makeup. Today, I am sharing my easy summer makeup routine with you. Wearing makeup in the hot weather and humidity can be tricky. They key is to focus on a few simple products and finish with a good setting spray. You can find my favorite one in this post. It takes less than 3 minutes and you can see how I do it in my Instastories under Summer Beauty. I throw on a dress, pull my hair into a pony or braid, and I am ready for the day.
MY EASY SUMMER MAKEUP ROUTINE
I don’t get into elaborate makeup during the hot summer months. The heat and humidity we get in Maryland would make it melt right off anyway. I do still like to look and feel but together, and these products are perfect for that.

IT COSMETICS CC CREAM
I have talked about this cc cream endlessly on here. I use it year round, but it is especially perfect during the summer months. It contains SPF 50 and tons of skin loving ingredients. It is the perfect makeup to wear in the sun. I put a pump or two of this all over my face to even out my skin tone and give it a nice glow.
NARS RADIANT CREAM CONCEALER
I throw some of this under my eyes, and on any trouble spots, and dab it in with my fingers. Done! PRO TIP: use your ring finger to tab product under the eye area and on blemishes. You should never rub concealer in, it defeats the purpose.

L’OREAL BROW DEFINER
In the past, I have had trouble finding a brow pencil that matched the color of my brows. They were always too dark or too warm, and would look fake and unnatural. I love this pencil to fill in and shape my eyebrows. The skinny pencil mimics brow hairs and the taupe is the perfect color for me.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY CREAM SHADOW
This cream shadow is perfection and so easy to use. If you buy only one shadow, this should be it. I am not a big and complicated eyeshadow wearer. I usually just swipe on one shade and call it a day. This can be applied to your eyelid with your fingers and it blends like a dream. You can also use it to line under your eyes with it. It stays put all day, which is a bonus during the hot and sticky weather.
IT COSMETICS MASCARA
If you love the look of long and lushes eyelashes, this mascara is for you. Like said earlier, I am not a big shadow person and prefer to focus on liner and mascara to really open up my eyes. Also, I am a cheapskate when it comes to mascara, but I stocked up on this during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale. It is definitely a favorite.
DRUNK ELEPHANT D-BRONZI
I apply a bit of this all over my face to get a golden glow. It is fantastic, but a tiny bit goes a really long way. This can also be mixed in with your foundation, or moisturizer to give you an all over glow and is great for even the pales of skin.
HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTNING BLUSH
This Ambient Lighting Blush is so pretty and perfect for summer. It gives a radiant, three dimensional glow to your skin with a touch of color. My favorite shade is the Radiant finish in Dim Infusion or Ethereal Glow.
SARA HAPP PINK SLIP
A new favorite in my lip gloss arsenal, this is literally the perfect summer pink. It is different than any other pink glosses that I own. I can’t put my finger on it, but it just is. Also, this one Is super hydrating and lasts a while on the lips, which is unusual for a gloss.

It is amazing! You will love it.
Great makeup routine! I also have a pretty simple makeup routine for the summer, but I usually don’t have a super complex one now that I am trying to live low waste. Thanks for sharing!
