Happy New Year and welcome to my first post of 2019, my Top 16 Best Beauty Products of 2018. I took a bit of a break and it was glorious. Sometimes you just have to re-charge your batteries, you know? This has always been a super popular post in the past, but I skipped it last year, as I was in the middle of re-vamping my blog.
My Top 16 Best Beauty Products of 2018
I wanted to take a minute to say a quick “Thank You” to all of you who have supported my blog in the past year. This is truly my dream job and I couldn’t do it without you guys and all of your love across all of my social media platforms. On that note, if you like something I post on here, Instagram, or Facebook, it would mean so much to me, if you could give it a quick like, or leave a comment on my pics (especially on Instagram). Also, if you are not following me on these platforms, it would be great, if you could. I post lots of fun content on Instagram that doesn’t make it on here, so it is worth a follow in my opinion 😉) It really is so important and lets me create content that is valuable to you.
Ok, enough shop talk and let’s move on to the fun part, my Best Beauty Products of 2018. I try hundreds of products all year long and although I enjoy many of them, there are very few that I actually re-purchase and I panic when I am close to running out. These select few products constitute my personal best products of the year. All of them work for almost everyone and I listed them in no particular order. Did you make a fabulous beauty discovery last year? I would love to know. Leave a comment below.

BUXOM GLOSS IN DOLLY// This was the lipgloss I reached for again and again last year. It leaves your lips with a slightly tingling sensation and seems to last longer than most glosses. The shade “Dolly” is a mauvey shade that flatters most complexions and it does seem to plump my lips a bit when I use it. It also comes in a million different colors, but I find this one most universally flattering.
CHANEL BRONZER// I use bronzer every time I do my makeup and this on is one of the best I have ever used. (Hundreds of 5 star reviews will back me up on this.) It is SO user friendly and the color is perfect, leaving behind a healthy glow. It does not contain shimmer, which is key for a natural looking bronzer in my book. I am using it in my updated every day makeup tutorial, which you can find in my Instagram stories. I also share a quick contouring hack.) It is pricey, but I have used it daily since October and have barely dented it, so it is a great value for the price.
NATIVE DEODORANT// Natural deodorant is one of those Unicorn products and I have tried many over the last year in an effort to clean up my beauty routine. This is the real deal. It goes on smoothly and leaves me feeling fresh and clean all day. It comes in great scents and is now readily available at Target. (Insert happy dance here)
GLO PRO DERMA ROLLER// This has been one of the best Skincare Investments I made last year. It has helped with my skin cancer scar, rosacea and overall firmness and youthfulness of my skin. It is not a magic wand, consistency and patience are key here, but it does work. If you are not ready for Botox yet, this is your answer. I use it 2-3 weekly after applying my serum and before my moisturizer.

SUPERGOOP UNSEEN SUNSCREEN// A sunscreen/primer hybrid that makes sun protection so easy. I have always been a sun protection fanatic, but even more so since my skin cancer diagnosis last year. (You need at least an SPF 30 EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.) This product offers ample protection and provides a bit of grip to make your foundation go on smoothly and last all day. A total winner in my book.
THE SUKARI BABY FACIAL// This is a fantastic at home treatment that feels like you just had a $250 facial at a fancy spa. It is incredible and even I can use it with my sensitive skin. I apply it once a week and leave it on for 16 minutes, before washing it off with a warm washcloth and then following up with the Skyn Iceland Hydrating Mask I mention below for the ultimate hydration. My skin feels like a baby’s butt when I am done.
LUXIE FULL FACE BRUSH SET// Not only are these brushes an incredible value, they are some of the best brushes I have ever used. I have spent double of the price of this set on just one single brush. This set contains everything you need for a full face of makeup, nothing less and nothing more. (I use it in this easy, everyday makeup tutorial.) They are also vegan, cruelty-free and the pretty pink color is an added bonus.
COLOR WOW DREAMCOAT// I am not exaggerating when I say that this product, along with the Revlon Hair dryer I mention below, has changed my life. This product contains heat-activated polymers that work to compress, tighten and seal hair strands, leaving hair supernaturally-sleek, smooth and super-silky. It is like a Brazilian blowout at home and lasts for up to 3 shampoos. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

L’OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA// I never spend a ton of money on mascara, because I replace it often. f L’oreal mascaras have always done me right, but this one especially is SO GOOD and has amassed quite a cult following. It makes my lashes look long and full and glossy, without clumping. I love it so much. It rivals the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara and is so much cheaper.
LANEIGE LIP SLEEPING MASK// Chapped lips have always been a struggle for me and there have been very few products that have actually made a difference. This stuff is great. I use it alone, or layer it over my R + F lip serum for extra oomph. I don’t think I could live without it at this point and even my son loves it. He asks for it specifically at night.
LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT POWDER IN GLOW// Setting powder is one of those products that is so not fun to purchase, but can make the biggest difference. This powder is pure magic. It sets your makeup and leaves an ethereal glow that is beyond heavenly. It is especially great for more mature skin, that can easily look chalky with too much powder. Also great for dry skin. This product is a must-have in my book.
REVLON ONE-STEP VOLUMIZER// SO many of you bought this last year and commented how much you also loved it, after I shared it with you. It is truly amazing and, in combination with the COLOR WOW DREAMCOAT, gives me a salon worthy blowout in the comfort of my own home. I have always had a love/hate relationship with my hair and could never get it quite right. The results here are truly WOW worthy. You have to see it to believe it. Think about the $$$ you can save in salon blowouts with this affordable $59.00 tool. GET IT!

SKYN ICELAND ARCTIC HYDRATION MASK// My only gripe with this mask is that it is messy and your are pretty much immobile while using it, or it will run right off your face. However, it forces me to take a 20 minute break, so it could be worse. This mask is perfection for my rosacea and dry skin and the soothing and hydrating effect lasts for a few days. A must try if you have dry and sensitive skin, or if you just need a hydrating boost during the cold winter months.
NARS SOFT MATTE CONCEALER// The texture of this concealer is heavenly, and unlike some other matte concealers, not drying at all. It spreads evenly and is equally effective on under eye circles a well as blemishes and other imperfections. I carry this in my purse for quick, midday touch ups. ( My shade is 2.5)
L’OREAL PRO GLOW FOUNDATION// Run, don’t walk and get this foundation. It is one of THE BEST foundations ever!!! It evens out my skin tone and covers my rosacea without looking heavy, and leaves a nice, healthy glow to my skin. I am completely obsessed with this stuff and haven’t touched my other foundations in weeks. I also love that it travels well and comes in a nice compact tube. This will probably not work for you if you have oily skin, but I have heard equally amazing things about the Pro Matte Foundation as well.
WANDER BEAUTY LIQUID EYE SHADOW// I have shared these in my Instastories with you guys, and so many of you loved them. I own every color in these and they are just so pretty and user friendly. You can apply them with your fingers and they are amazing for even the most untrained makeup user. You can create so many looks with these, from every day makeup to the evening smokey eye. Once they dry, they stay put all day and all night long. I just love them.
Whew! Okay, that was a lot. I hope that you try some of these products and find something you love.

The L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara sounds brilliant, and I love that it’s drugstore too. I have one mascara that I really like but it’s so expensive and like you, I don’t like paying so much for mascara because you just have to replace it all the time.
Julia // The Sunday Mode
Love these products!! I have some them they are really great! Can’t wait to try the others! Thanks for sharing:))
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the post.
