Happy Humpday, my friends! I shot these pictures yesterday. Everyone was in a panic buying all of the water, eggs and bread and prepping for Hurricane Florence. My friend Megan from Take Time For Style, and I had fashion on the brain. We shot 4 Fall style outfits each and had some good girly time, including lunch as a reward after. You can catch our behind-the-scenes on both of our Instastories, including some hilarious real life moments.
FALL STYLE – HOW TO WEAR A STRIPED DRESS
I am finally ready do delve into some Fall style over here, as the weather has rapidly shifted over the last week. I love dresses as part of my everyday outfits, and this striped t shirt dress and green jacket totally fit the bill. Both are so easy and comfy. This striped dress feels like a nightgown, and the lightweight jacket is great for layering while the temps change during the day. I feel totally put together when I wear this, but feel like I am in my jammies. Incidentally I always wear a jacket to run errands, as I tend to freeze my butt of in the air conditioned stores.
The green jacket is a bit of an investment piece, but it has been going strong in my closet for almost 3 years now. It is truly so versatile and can be worn in the spring as well. I love the cinched waist and detail on the pockets.
I am typically not a sneaker person, but who can resist a couple of cute Chucks, am I right?! They go perfectly with this dress and I can walk miles in these. The elastic in the back makes them super comfortable.

This tote bag has been a total stand-by during the Fall and I always get tons of compliments on it. It is actually printed canvas, NOT calf skin, which makes it way more practical for toting around every day. You can also personalize it with your own initials. They have tons of styles to choose from, if animal print isn’t your thing and makes a great gift as well. (Christmas is only 16 weeks away!!)
