A summer staple in my closet is the linen shirt I purchased a few years back. J.Crew makes a similar version every year. I also own it in short sleeved. It is so versatile and fantastic for traveling. I pair it with my favorite white jeans (I talk about them here and here.) and espadrille sandals in this post, but it is also great over a slim fitting dress and serves as a beach cover up in a jiffy. The shirt and the jeans also currently on sale. #Yay!
I just love the slim fit of the linen shirt and it gets softer the more you wash it. The bag is unfortunately sold out, but I found a few few very similar ones and linked them for you. I get compliments every time I go out with this bag. It is my summer staple and a fun change from my regular tote bag.
Annapolis in the Summer
There is nothing better than a sunny day in beautiful Annapolis. The streets are bustling with people enjoying the shops and sights. You can catch a glimpse of the Naval Academy cadets, in their uniforms, enjoying lunch with their families, and stroll to the marina with your ice cream cone.
There are plenty of waterfront bars and restaurants to enjoy a drink, or dinner, and the annual boat show always draws a large crowd. If you are ever in my neck of the woods, let me know and I will happily send you some recommendations on what to do.

I’m still on the hunt for the perfect linen shirt, but white pants are just a dream! And I mean literally a dream – I have a toddler who makes my pants dirty with her food 5 minutes after I put them on. It’s a daily struggle, and until she’s older I just can’t do it.
I have always worn white, even when my boys were little. People would always comment, but I just bleach them and they come out great!
