THE BEST DRUGSTORE MAKEUP
This post has been a long time coming and one of the most requested ones ever! I have put together a list of some of the best drugstore makeup out there. This is not a complete list, but rather a comprehensive selection of items. If I were to loose my makeup bag on vacation and I had to replace everything at the drugstore, these would be the products I would get.
This post has a bit of everything – user friendly and wearable basics that anyone can use. Enjoy!

These products are widely available at many drugstores, but I have linked everything to the Target website to make it easier. That way, you can put everything in one basket to check out, if you choose to shop online)
PHYSICIAN’S FORMULA BUTTER BRONZER// This has everything I look for in a bronzer – no shimmer and not too orange. It also comes in a light shade for fair complexions like mine. An extra bonus is that it smells like a tropical vacation.
MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO SHADOWS// If you are looking for a single eyeshadow that is super user-friendly, this is it. You can apply it with your fingers and blend. It will dry to a creaseless finish and can also double as an eyeshadow base for more dramatic eye makeup looks. My 2 favorite shades are BAD TO THE BRONZE and BARELY BRANDED. They are fabulous for summer as well.
MAYBELLINE SUPER STAY MATTE INK// I am personally more of a gloss girl, but if you are looking for a long wearing, matte lipstick in a wide range of colors, this is it. The colors are super pretty and it literally doesn’t come off util you take it off. I highly recommend getting this remover with it, otherwise it could get a bit tricky.
ELF HIGH DEFINITION SETTING POWDER// This translucent powder will set your makeup and give it an airbrushed effect, without adding any additional layers of products o your face. Use it sparingly.
L’OREAL TRUE MATCH CONCEALER CRAYON// There are other good drugstore concealers out there, but I like this one for its versatility when traveling. It works under they eyes, as well as a blemish coverup. I also use it under my brow bone for lift and on my cupids bow, as well as to define my lips if I am wearing a bright color.
L’OREAL LASH PARADISE MASCARA// I refuse to spend a lot of money on mascara and never get the expensive kind, not matter how fabulous it is supposed to be. I consider it a waste of money. This is, hands down, my current, most favorite mascara. It doesn’t clump and makes my lashes look long and full and luscious. I just love it.
MAYBELLINE SKINNY GEL PENCIL// Eye liner pencils can be tricky to use and I usually prefer a powder for a precise application. However, this pencil is so skinny that it is easy to smudge into the lash line and the gel formula glides on easily and stays put. My one gripe is that the tip breaks off easily, so I just make sure to keep it as short as possible.
MILANI BAKED BLUSH// Everyone raves about this blush and for good reason. It imparts just the right amount of streak free color and glow and is comparable to some of the high end blushes without the price tag. Everyone loves the Luminoso shade, a warm coral, but I prefer Dolce Pink, a pretty neutral pink.
PIXI GLOW-Y POWDER// Another super versatile product. It is sold as a highlighter, but also makes the prettiest eyeshadow and will give your collar bones a nice pop.
NYX BUTTER GLOSS// I have sung this gloss its praises many times. It is so comforting and nourishing on the lips and comes in a variety of flattering shades. My favorite is Angel Food Cake. Also, it doesn’t contain any fragrance, which is always a plus in my book.
NYX MICRO BROW PENCIL// This is one of the more natural looking brow pencils I have found. The skinny tip mimics brow hairs and does a nice job of filling in the shape of my brows without looking fake.
MILANI EYE SHADOW PALETTE// This is a very nice palette for the money and covers all of your neutral basics, from matte to shimmer.
REVLON PHOTO READY PRIMER// I love this makeup primer. It evens out my skin texture and blurs fine lines and imperfections.
L’OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO GLOW// This is one of the best foundations I have ever used. It stays put, evens out my skin tone and imparts a healthy glow. If you are oily, the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte is a better choice and is equally as good.

XO,
I’m all about the drug store makeup!
Same – who doesn’t love a good deal, right?
That Milani blush seems to be a drug-store cult favorite…I think I’ll have to go get it and see what the fuss is about!
All that fuss is for good reason…
I love Pixi products! So glad you included Pixi and elf
The Loreal Lash Paradise is so amazing. It’s 100% a dupe for the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I love it! I also dig the ELF powder too for baking.
Loved this list! Thanks for sharing!

I’m so happy to see I’ve already got many of your favorites! Now I have a few more to try, thank you!
Awesome! Which one are you going to try?
I’ll have to try this mascara! I tend to purchase elf cosmetics b/c of their price point and quality. Have you ever tried Colourpop? I think it may now be available in some stores but I shop online. The lippie stix , highlighter, and brow pencil are my faves and go-to’s! It’s so cheap too!
I love Elf and NYX is good as well. Where do you get the color pop? I have tried a few things but ordered them online.
