THE BEST BRIGHT SUMMER LIPSTICKS

I love wearing a bright pop of color on my lips in the spring and summer. During the warm season everything for me is minimal and toned down. I wear my beloved CC Cream, a little liner and mascara and a bright color on my lips. Something about that look is effortless, yet put together alL at once. Today, I am sharing the best bright summer lipsticks with you. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on trend items, unless I know I absolutely love them and they work for me, so most of my picks are also very affordable. It is a fun and inexpensive way to brighten up your makeup routine and is a perfect little pick me up.

MATTE LIPSTICKS

I am generally not a fan of matte lipsticks, but the following 2 colors are comfortable on the lips and look incredibly beautiful on almost everyone.

MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL LIPSTICK in Shocking Coral – I would have never chosen this color for myself, but while working a Maybelline event a few years back, one of their makeup artists shared this color with me and said it was amazeballs. He wasn’t lying. It is the perfect combination of pink and coral and looks good on everyone. I swear!

L’OREAL COLOUR RICHE COLLECTION EXCLUSIVE RED LIPCOLOUR// You may have heard of these collections. They provide the perfect red, pink and nude lip colors for every complexion and are named after famous women. This particular red is JULIANNES RED, but I think it works on almost everyone. However, I encourage you to try all of their colors. They are beautiful and the color payoff is amazing.

REVLON ULTRA HD MATTE LIPCOLOR// These are a more recent discovery. You get vibrant color with an amazing, weightless feeling. They are actually moisturizing and feel comfortable on the lips all day. My favorite shade is this one.

MOISTURIZING LIPSTICKS

ELF MOISTURIZING LIPSTICKS//The colors are vivid, long lasting and moisturizing. My 2 favorites are this one, a super vivid fuchsia with blue undertones, and this one a flirty, corally pink. They are $3.00 each and I have my eye on a few other colors.

CLINIQUE POP MATTE LIPCOLOR & PRIMER// Technically, these are in the matte category, but they feel so hydrating on the lips that I put them under moisturizing. The primer smooths out your lips and make the color glide on easily every time. The Shock Pop shade is my favorite.

SHEER LIPSTICKS

LIPSTICK QUEEN LIPSTICKS//I have loved these lipsticks for a long time. They are not available at the drugstore and are a little pricier, but are worth. Super flattering and sheer, they are absolutely effortless to apply and the perfect lipstick to throw in your beach bag, when going from day to night. They perfectly adapt to your own skin tone, so they work on absolutely everyone. I am partial to this one, which is green in the tube, but turns the perfect shade of pink, and this one, which starts out blue and turns into the perfect berry shade. They also have this pretty coral shade.

WANDER BEAUTY BEACH BALM// As you can imagine, I won a ton of lipsticks. When I recently lost this one, I panicked and immediately ordered a new one. This balm is the perfect op of sheer pink and is ultra hydrating on the lip. Personally, I recommend this trio, as you get 3 perfectly summery shades for the price of 2 and they are all lovely.
